Location: Remote — candidates must reside in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine
Territory: Maine through Florida
Travel: Up to 40%
Compensation: $130,000–$140,000 base salary plus up to a 25% performance bonus

Position Overview

A confidential food manufacturer is seeking an accomplished foodservice sales leader to grow national and regional accounts throughout the eastern United States. This role will lead distributor and broker relationships, account strategy, pricing, forecasting, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for national and regional foodservice accounts.
  • Manage relationships with chain accounts, broadline distributors, operators, and brokers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, promotional programs, and growth initiatives.
  • Manage sales forecasts, budgets, trade spending, margins, and account profitability.
  • Monitor dairy and commodity-market trends and assess their business impact.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Operations, Customer Service, and Supply Chain.
  • Present sales performance, market insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience.
  • 5+ years of foodservice sales management experience in dairy, refrigerated foods, consumer packaged goods, or food manufacturing.
  • Experience managing national and regional foodservice distributors.
  • Strong knowledge of dairy, cheese, butterfat, and related commodity markets.
  • Proven experience managing brokers, budgets, forecasts, pricing, and profitability.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and executive-presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with national chain accounts and broadline distributors.
  • Familiarity with CRM and TPM/TPO platforms.
  • Experience using Circana, Nielsen, Technomic, Datassential, or comparable industry data.
